For several years Celtic have said they have been looking into how a ticket exchange scheme would work at the club after supporters raised concerns regarding a lack of tickets despite empty seats at certain fixtures.
CEO Michael Nicholson gave a direct update on this when he was questioned at the AICSC meeting for 2026 recently. Leeside CSC asked whether there were any plans to go digital for season tickets, meaning you could keep your ticket on your phone and share easily with others when needed. Nicholson confirmed there were no immediate plans for such a shift after they reviewed several clubs operating digital ticket systems. His full answer is below.
