If the report is accurate, this could be the club preparing for a possible Alistair Johnston exit. However the price being quoted is likely to be a major sticking point for any potential deal to bring in the Mexican international. Maybe the club would look towards another loan if the current Celtic right back was to leave the building. If Johnston did go this summer it would leave a leave a huge gap in leadership and quality for the club to fill in the no2 position. Whoever came in to replace the Canadian would have a lot to live up to in replacing one of Celtic’s stand out performers.
